COMPREHENSIVE TESTING PROCESS
One issue that can often be a problem is receiving a new mobile phone which is DOA. (Dead On Arrival), or has functions that don’t operate correctly. It doesn’t matter if you walk into the manufacturing plants of Sony, Nokia, Motorola or Samsung, sometimes phones can, and will, just simply not turn on or work as they should.

Every phone shipped from our warehouse undergoes the full Smooth Mobiles Comprehensive Testing process before being sent to you.
This means that every phone is removed from its box, the battery is installed and it’s turned on. Then our technicians spend the next 20-55 minutes testing every single function of the phone to ensure it works properly. This includes putting a SIM card in, testing the camera, pairing with a Bluetooth device, making and receiving phone calls, checking the memory card, and so on. Accessories in the box are also checked.
When our technician is 100% certain that the phone works as promised, the package is vacuum sealed indicating that it has passed the Comprehensive Test and is ready to be sent to you.
This service costs a premium and we really don’t have to do it. But we want to provide the best service in Australia and that means ensuring you receive the absolute best phone in the best possible condition. For sure, we could earn a few extra dollars by not doing this. But the bottom line is, just one returned phone because the camera doesn’t work means one unhappy customer. That is one unhappy customer too many and it is just not worth it.
